Early Years Pupil Premium
Rachel McMillan Nursery School and Children’s Centre
Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) is extra funding to improve outcomes for 3 and 4 year olds, in vulnerable circumstances,
EYPP has been put in place by the Government to support children, in order to minimise the difference in attainment between those in receipt of EYPP and those that are not. Children who meet the criteria will be eligible for an extra £342.10 funding per year whilst at nursery school. The funding enables schools to provide targeted support to help children develop.
How we use the money.
At Rachel McMillan Nursery school, we regularly evaluate, which areas of learning children in receipt of EYPP need greatest support. We use the EYPP money to make a difference through a variety of means which typically includes, expeditions out or projects which support the children’s development and progress, or resources in line with our play based curriculum, ethos of outdoor learning and community integration.
(Please see ‘EYPP Action Plan’ as to how the money is used each year).
